Whilst the Archaeological Survey of Ireland hasn’t yet uploaded the full details of this monument to their Historic Environment Viewer, the cross at Leitrim remains an important piece of Donegal’s archaeological heritage. Like many such monuments scattered across Ireland’s countryside, it likely served as a territorial marker, a place of worship, or perhaps a memorial to long-forgotten events.
