The track is a small, mundane detail, but it says something about the way these monuments persist in the Irish countryside, quietly absorbed into the working rhythms of farms that have long since forgotten, or simply set aside, what lies beneath.

The enclosure is oval rather than perfectly circular, measuring roughly 39 metres north to south and 32 metres east to west. What defines it now is an overgrown earthen scarp, the slumped remnant of what would once have been a more pronounced bank or rampart, still standing between half a metre and just under a metre in height along its exterior face. It sits on a slight rise above the surrounding marshy ground, positioned roughly 70 metres south of a stream that marks the boundary of the townland. That topographic logic, a modest elevation above damp low-lying land, is characteristic of ringfort placement across Ireland; the slight rise offered drainage and visibility without requiring dramatic natural terrain. The monument appears on both the 1840 and 1916 editions of the Ordnance Survey six-inch maps, marked with hachures, the cartographic convention used to indicate earthworks and enclosures. What the maps could not record was a later alteration: at some point, the interior was covered over with imported topsoil, obscuring whatever archaeological deposits may remain beneath.
