Subcircular huts of this kind are among the more common but least celebrated survivals of early Irish settlement, typically built from dry-stone walling and used as shelters or dwellings by farming communities across many centuries. What makes this particular site quietly interesting is the pairing: two huts, positioned in relation to one another, with the one recorded here lying to the south-south-east of its companion.
