At the western tip of the Loop Head Peninsula in County Clare, where the land narrows to a thin finger of rock before the Atlantic takes over entirely, there is a recorded fortification at Kilbaha whose details remain largely opaque.
It appears on the archaeological record as a monument, catalogued and counted, yet the specifics of its form, date, and history have not yet been made publicly available. That gap itself is quietly interesting: a place known well enough to be classified, but not yet described.
